About Us
Nature Mosaics was founded by me, Lauren Lasa (Lauren Rappa) in 2007. The idea for nature mosaics came about after a trip to Spain to visit my husband's family. My sister-in-law had purchased a similar piece in a small village called Escorial, which is about an hour north of Madrid. In Spain, the print trays we use are called "chivaletes". I was so inspired by the colors and different natural seeds and beans that are indigenous to the area. I wanted to re-create and re-invent the same idea for us here in the states.
I started making my Nature Mosaics with dried flowers, beans and spices of all types of textures and colors. I enjoy finding these natural treasures and combining them with antique trays to create truly unique pieces of art.

Company History
I am a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Communication. Go Bulls!!! I also graduated from the International Academy of Design and Technology with a degree in Residential Interior Design. I worked as a designer at M/I Homes until the birth of my son in 2007. We just welcomed our second child in July.
I am now a stay at home mom to my two children...While working on new and excting Nature Mosaics :)
